My husband gave this ring to me as an anniversary present. He had gotten me a blue topaz for our one year anniversary, and he wanted to get me something a little different but similar for our 10 year anniversary, so he got me this beautiful London blue topaz ring. :)When I opened the ring box, I gasped! The London blue topaz was a gorgeous color! The stone is just the right size on my small hand, not too big or too small. The stone is darker than the picture portrays, definitely a truly beautiful London blue. The clarity and sparkle of the stone are fantastic. I was very, very impressed with the quality of the center stone for the price we paid!However I had to take away one star due to the misrepresentation of the diamonds surrounding the center stone. In the photo it appears that there is a true halo of very small diamonds around the topaz, however there is not. There are only 4 diamonds around the halo: one at 3 o' clock, one at 6 o' clock, one at 9 o' clock, and one at 12 o' clock. There are also 3 diamonds on the band on either side. This means there are only 10 small diamonds total. The gold is shaped in a way around the halo that gives a strong illusion to there being more diamonds than there are and only upon close scrutiny would anyone know that there weren't more than the 10.I love the daintiness and delicacy of the band as it is very feminine, but I do notice that it causes the ring to turn on my finger more frequently than I am used to as most of my other right hand rings have bands of a more moderate thickness. I am also slightly concerned that the thinness of the band will allow it to bend more easily over time, hopefully I am wrong in this concern though.I ordered a 7.5 and it was true to size.* * * * *UPDATED* * * * *The band has not bent in any way and I wear this ring quite often, so even though it is slender it is tough. :)
