Love the picturesNeeded more about actual combination of clothes, not the shopsChock full of lavish photographs and interesting information on London and the specialty shops that make it a mecca for gentlemen who desire to be well turned-out, James Sherwood's latest volume is a delight. In the past he has concentrated on the great tailoring houses in and around Savile Row. This latest volume focuses on "gentleman's requisites," products that are exquisitely made by dedicated craftsmen in and around London.Great book on style, a little dated but still worth buying. Nothing about current trends or latest fashions, its all about classic style.This is an absolutely lovely book and I recommend it highly to any male clothes horse. One could hardly do better than referring to Mr. Sherwood's fine and loving tribute to clothes and particularly the wonderful influence of English designers and their contribution to the perfect gentleman.This one really is a treat and a book full of wonderful images, presented on handsome and excellent quality stock!Bravo!Another high-quality Sherwood production. It feels a little scattered somehow. I'd have liked smaller articles about more firms in London's gentlemen's requisites trade. That said, I'd buy this book again, no question.Especially love the pictures.Sherwood does not fail to please with this artistic presentation for the reader---you are whisked away to a world of beauty in style and photography--I again am impressed with the undeniable excellence of Mr. Sherwood---thank you---As with James' previous book on Savile Row, the obvious passion for the subject and meticulous research is self-evident and in a format large enough to do the typography & superb images real justice.This is a volume you'll want to keep on display for a long time - really excellent. As a possible next project it would be great if James could produce something along the lines of the ultimate guide to a gentleman's lifestyle/wardrobe essentials etc - just a thought.An excellent insight in the makers of sartorial clothing. Of interest to any man interested in his appearance.Bought as a gift and was a great success. Great for any man who loves clothes and fashion. Well worth the money.I was expecting more emphasis on sartorial style but this is still a luscious book which celebrates the great luxury brands that have passed the test of time.
