After a couple of wears the heel broke.I really needed a 9.5 wide, after I thought a 9 might fit. I sent company a question asking if a size 10 would work and they got back to me within a few hours and told me bigger size was in length not width. My point is, he got back to me and gave me their HONEST opinion...very valuable to know they care .I wear a size 8.5 wide and that’s what I ordered. It was 2 sizes too smallThe ankle area too high (hurt)I would like to mention from the start that I am a REAL customer and have NOT, in any way been reimbursed, nor paid for this review.This is the best pair of boots I have ever bought! The heel is not too high and there is enough room to even wear thick socks. I usually have problems with boots, because they make my soles hurt for some reason. But NOT these boots. I've worn them for 6-8 hours at a time and walked around in them a lot. They are very comfortable and the color is exactly as in their picture on the website. I recommend these boots from this retailer. I am 5'7" tall, weigh 225lbs and wear a 9.5 shoe/boot size. I bought these boots in 9.5 and they fit perfectly. Thank you London Fog for making a product of great quality!!!These were too big, and the zipper part rubs against you if you don’t wear long socks.I specifically bought these for winter, so I ordered a half-size up so I could wear thick wool socks with them. I probably could have gone with my normal size, but they fit well enough for me not to want to hassle with a return. I'd say they run true to size, if not a tiny bit on the larger side.The look of the boot is beautiful, and I really like that these are water resistant. I like that I can walk to work in these and still look stylish. They were stiff out of the box but loosened up after a couple days of breaking them in while walking around my apartment.I removed a star due to the cushion in the heel loosing its cush after a few days of wear. Now there's a hard knob on the center of both heels. I put inserts in them so I don't feel it at all anymore, but be aware that you may need to get heel inserts with these if you're going to walk a lot in them.They are really nice looking. But order a half a size up should be good enough. They were snug by toe.
