I really like this door knob.My main reasons for liking it: a dark brown color, a working key hole, and it's solidly built. For *less than armature people* like myself: the door knob is inexpensive but you may need to drill proper holes out of the your door. For example, the diameter of my latch hole (the door latch is the cylindrical part that extends into the wall from the door) was about 3/4" diameter and this door knob requires a 1" door latch diameter. What I'm telling you is simple: **you may need to drill out the 1" latch hole diameter if your door originally had a smaller latch hole.** Experts on the matter may not need to worry, they know what they're doing better than I do. :-)
